LARS lounge pianist
At age 20 he gained a music scholarship (jazz piano) to Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA and graduated honorary student in 1996 with a degree in classical composition. Lars now felt that the best way to fulfill his passion for travel and music was to join the cruise industry. He joined the Saga Ruby cruise ship 2 years ago, having worked previously on Royal Caribbean ships. As a solo pianist, he is used to perform 5 to 7 sets daily, 7 days a week and his repertoire covers everything from the great songwriters Rogers & Hart and the Gershwins to modern day greats like to Barry Manilow, Billy Joel, Elton John and Sting. He is first and foremost a jazz pianist and he entertains the audience with his easygoing humorous chat and superb subtle piano playing. Se graduó en la Universidad de Bercklee en 1996en piano de jazz y con un diploma honorario en composición clásica. Inmediatamente se embarcó en los cruceros de Royal Caribbean y en el crucero Saga Ruby como pianista. Su repertorio cubre temas de Rogers & Hart y Gershwin hasta los grandes de hoy como to Barry Manilow, Billy Joel, Elton John and Sting. Es un excelente pianista de jazz que entretiene a loa audiencia con su charla llena de humor y la sutilidad de su piano.
