African Music and Dance

The band consists of a very well polished group of 10 male players and dancers and 5 glamorous dancing queens in a class of our own.

The band along with the energetic fabulous dancing Queens now based in the UK,are an African original group, which emerged in 1992. If you have never been to Africa they can bring Africa to you and if you have been, they can bring all those good memories.

Their unique sound is a product of traditional and modern elements of music and style fused with a solid electric rhythm section giving the band an easily identifiable contemporary edge. It is the African Traditional type of music associated with hard-hitting beat from old beat, although theirs is a unique in that it is a combination of low bass and newly composed beat.

As a 15-member group they specialize in different forms of Zimbabwean traditional dancing such as Mhande, Jiti-Chinungu, Shangara, Zihwere, Madanha, Chinyambera, Muchongoyo, Chimutare, Ingwenyama, Mbakumba, Shield Dance, Jerusarema (Mbende) and the Spiritual dance.
