Helena-Circus Performer

Helena Hatstand has been working as a Freelance Circus Performer at Corporate Events, Clubs, Parties and dance events for the past 4 years

She offers a wide variety of stage acts as a solo performer or as part of a duo/group, to suit all venues and events. Listed below are some of her acts:

1.Fire-eating dressed in a choice of themed costumes....(30-45 mins)

2.Stilt-walking (30-45 mins)

3.UV Glo-Show-bright dayglo costumes, rhythmic gymnastic ribbon, ring juggling etc...

4. Whip-cracking-fast and loud in cow-girl style dressed in PVC catsuit and high boots

5. Flamenco Dancing Act

 
UV Glo Show is a high energy, high impact act performed to a cutting edge house music dance track which lasts for between 5 and 8 mins - depending if it is a solo act or a double act. The double act is to The Propellarheads "On Her Majesty's secret service" - the James Bond theme tune. This music has changes in pace and is a 'big' atmospheric tune. The stage is dark apart from a UV light (UV canons - high intensity UV lights). The performers (Helena on her own or with a partner ) come on with rhythmic gymnastic ribbons which they dance/ manipulate. They juggle with bright orange rings between them, manipulate UV staffs and swing high tech glo clubs in a choreographed pattern. It includes a couple of acrobalance poses. The movement changes between high energy dance and solo motion, mime techniques.

Crystal ball manipulation - using a crystal ball she dances with it using slow motion movement, mime techniques of isolation and weightlessness. It is rolled around the body - up and down the arms and around the back of the neck etc. She wears a neutral mask (expressionless) - this works well in a club atmosphere towards the end of the night  

Angle-grinding -The movie "Flashdance" comes to mind-well for me anyhow! Here she wears a metal bikini and grinds it with an angle-grinder (a tool used on car repairs to cut metal). She dances with it and grinds at different angles and at different intensities to create a visual spark show.Helena can perform in a raunchy or tame style. It is a high impact, high energy act and lasts for about 4.40secs. It is unique and unusual.

Stilt walking - With legs like these-it´s sure to create an impact! The general idea is to have her / them dressed in a choice of costumes to meet and greet the public/audience as they enter a particular event/occasion.You can either have them at the door of the event welcoming people as they come in which will create a "wow" factor, or you can have them dancing as people come in to create animation and atmosphere - It´s colourful, bold and quite spectacular and is something to watch as people settle into the event.
