The Dominican group Aventura was formed in 1999 in New York. Even though its members lived in the Bronx, they first performed for the Dominican community of Boston. Like any new group, Aventura had a hard beginning, but the group has been accepted by the public and, nowadays, it is considered one of the best bands of bachata. The fame of the group has grown so much that they have been touring in Europe, especially in Italy, because Italians are crazy with merengue, salsa and bachata.

Aventura has a style new and different from the other bachateros. Like every Latino raised in the United States, these guys have been influenced by hip-hop, regue and R&B, influences that can be appreciated in their songs. Under the name of Grupo Aventura o simply Aventura, the group has two CDs: Generation Next and Aventura: We Broke the Rules; productions that contain romantic bachatas of good lyrics.

Aventura won a Premio Casandra in the Domincan Republic and were nominated for the Billboard de Musica Latina award.

Their next production “Love and Hate” promises to be another hit.
